Peeps Silicone Shadow Easter Card

I like the shadow technique when applied as a background for clear photopolymer stamps. I also like the many colors of Easter Marshmallow Peeps. Not having neither the shadow stamp nor the peeps stamp I decided to make my own by using Lawn Fawn's Hoppy Easter stamp and die set along with a white silicone placemat.

1st: I trace the shape of the Hoppy Easter die (cutting side up) onto the white silicone placemat and then fussy cut the shape.

2nd: Using double sided tape I then secured the now Hoppy Easter Shadow stamp onto an acrylic block. FYI - Place clear packing tape on both sides of the silicone for stabilization during cutting.

3rd: The Hoppy Easter shadow Stamp can now be used as any normal clear photopolymer stamp and is ready for inking. FYI - Remember to stamp in reverse to mimic the original stamp shape.

4th: This technique can be applied to any die to enhance and expand your stamping pleasure.

STAMP and Dies by Lawn Fawn:
Hoppy Easter
Harold's ABC's
Beam Me Up
Scalloped Rectangle Stackables

CARDSTOCK and PAPER PACK:
White - Neenah
Perfectly Plaid Rainbow and Mermaid - Lawn Fawn

INK and ADHESIVE
Plastic Flamingo, Pumpkin Spice, Lemonade, Jalapeno, Fish Tank, and Sugar Plum - Lawn Fawn
Onyx Black - Versa fine
Mono Permanent Adhesive - Tombow
Double sided foam tape - Scotch
Silicone mat - white

    1. Thanks Ashley glad you enjoyed my card. As a side note put clear packing tape on both sides of the silicone piece before you cut the shape. This helps to stabilize the silicone and projects your outline.

  3. Very cute card! That shadow is way fun. Jennifer McGuire showed a way to use the stamp upside down on the block to get a similar look. I haven't seen this way before, looks fun!

    1. Thanks Lynette. I haven't seen Jennifer McGuire's technique I need to check it out. Always looking for new techniques. One thing I did notice is that every time I use yellow ink the bunny has an illusion of being smaller although it's the same size.
